How much does a locksmith cost in Sydney?
The price depends on the job, the type of lock and the time of day. A simple rekey costs less than a new high-security deadbolt, and call-outs at night, on weekends and on public holidays cost more than daytime work.
When you call or send the form, we ask a few questions and give you an estimate. On site, we confirm the price before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice. We only recommend a new lock when the old one is broken or no longer secure.

Yes. Rapid Key Locksmith holds NSW Master Licence 000110647. Every locksmith working in NSW needs a security licence, and you can check ours on the NSW Police public register.
Should I rekey or change my locks?
Rekey if your lock works well and you just want the old keys to stop working, for example after moving in or losing a key. Change the lock if it is worn, broken, or if you want a stronger lock. We'll tell you honestly which one you need. See rekeying and lock change.
