When a lock fails, it is tempting to swap it straight away. In many cases the lock itself is fine and the problem is the door, the strike plate or the cylinder.
- We find the cause. Door alignment, a worn cylinder, a broken spring or a damaged latch.
- We fix what can be fixed. Adjustments, lubrication, new springs or a new cylinder.
- We tell you when it is not worth it. If a repair would cost almost as much as a new lock, we say so and give you both prices.

Can you repair a lock instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. Many locks only need an adjustment, a service or a new part. We always check whether a repair will last before recommending a replacement.
Why is my key suddenly hard to turn?
Usually dirt, worn pins or a door that has shifted so the bolt rubs on the strike. Don't force the key or spray household oil into the lock: it attracts dirt. Call us and we fix the cause.
My door won't lock tonight. Can you come now?
Yes, we are available 24/7. If the lock can't be repaired on the spot, we make the door secure so you are not left with an unlocked home.
